PITTSBURGH — To identify and engage companies in upcoming bid packages for the Terminal Modernization Program (TMP) at Pittsburgh International Airport, the Allegheny County Airport Authority will conduct a combined Industry Event and Small Business Fair April 30 at the airport Hyatt Regency hotel.
The event will provide an opportunity for small businesses, contractors, construction companies, disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) and others to learn about early site preparation packages to begin this fall and building construction expected to begin in 2020.
It also serves as a face-to-face networking opportunity for companies to learn about doing general business and procurement opportunities with the Airport Authority. The event also includes a national Airport Rental Car Supplier Diversity Outreach component.
In addition to offering information on upcoming site preparation packages and an overview of general terminal construction packages for 2020-2023, the Industry Day event is open to local consultants, small businesses and vendors interested in doing business with the Airport Authority which manages Pittsburgh International and Allegheny County Airports.
Staff from the Airport Authority’s various departments including Business Development, Public Safety, Operations & Maintenance, Sustainability & Natural Resources, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Engineering, Planning & Capital Development and Procurement will be on hand to answer questions.
