The terminal modernization project continues at Pittsburgh International Airport. The project has been underway since crews first broke ground in 2021 for the $1.57 billion project

“We’re going to open it next year, and what we’re seeing behind me is really the terminal fully enclosed and they’re going to start working on the interior,” PIA spokesperson Bob Kerlik said. Airport officials say the project was initially delayed due to the pandemic. But since, the groundbreaking crews say they are pleased with the progress made and the project’s timeline.
