Pittsburgh International Airport has unveiled a new video that shows an aerial view of the now completed roadways to the new $1.57 billion terminal, which is expected to open later in 2025. In the 2-minute, 14-second video, Pat Garrett, superintendent for contractor PJ Dick, says that a total of 27 lane miles of new road has been built and paved. The current traffic pattern is a horseshoe shape in and out of the airport property; the new version extends the horseshoe shape deeper into the property.

The pattern is so similar to what is there now that many passengers may not even notice a change when they drive to the new terminal for the first time, according to the video. The video gives an aerial view of the three levels at the front of the new terminal. The top will be for departing passengers, the middle for arriving passengers and the ground level for rideshare, taxis and buses.
