There are around 1,200 workers on-site everyday. Recently they’ve been busy attaching ceiling panels and pouring terrazzo floors. So far, everything is on schedule to be ready for a fall 2025 opening. We walked through one of the outdoor areas that will soon to be home to a wooded natural space full of benches, paths and even some concessions. The new terminal will have a few of these gardens – some that are accessible before the security checkpoint and some after. Bob says they’re working with a landscape designer to fill these areas with native plants — but they have to be careful not to attract birds as well — birds and airports can be a bad combination.
